AI surgery and various fields of medical fields are rapidly changing: experts

International medical experts say that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is capable of catching nuances in areas such as internal medicine and radiology that sometimes overwhelmed by the eyes of specialist doctors. The ICT scan is known as the cause of the scan, which is a source of evidence.,

Medical experts at Columbia University, New York expressed their views in a two -day workshop based on the latest technologies of laparoscopy and weight las (bariatric) surgery held at Jinnah Hospital Karachi.

Professor of New York University Surgery at the workshop, George S. Farzle and his partner Dr. Alexander Wu was included.

On this occasion, surgical residents and postgraduate were given practical training for modern techniques. The purpose of the workshop was to introduce safe, effective and international standard surgery methods.

Professor Shahid Rasool, Executive Director of Jinnah Hospital Karachi, said that we do regular workshops, in which international experts learn new technology. Professor George Sarjar, Professor at New York University, attended the workshop. Experts in general surgery and weight Las Surgery. He informed our PG and postgraduate students in safe and effective methods of various surgery.

Jinnah Hospital said, “I have worked with experts from many countries of the world and have learned something new from every experience.” In such workshops, when we follow new techniques under the supervision of experts, the possibility of mistakes decreases. Before learning robotic surgery, it is important to master laparoscopes surgery. Over the next 20 years, robotic surgery cannot replace laparoscopic surgery, as both have their own role.

Dr. Alexander Wu said that there is no better place to talk about the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially when there are people who are inventors themselves. In the early 90s, laparoscopy was coming and open surgery was common. Nevertheless, adopting new technology required courage and acceptance. Laparoscopy was then adopted and its capacity was observed.

He said that this is the matter today, there is no doubt that artificial intelligence is going to handle and change the field of medicine. Now we are seeing the effect, patients now want to know about their own diseases and medicines, and they have more impact on AI models such as chat GPT. We see that AI sometimes identifies things that we hide from doctors on a CT scan, because many things have become more and more complicated.

He said that AI is having two ways in the surgery sector. Research is no longer a research, because humans cannot process such large data themselves, it is now doing AI. The second method is in the form of robot surgery, robot surgery is developing very fast. Whenever you move the robot, companies and programs record every stage of their surgery and add results. At one time it can come to make robot movements an ideal model. So that they can do surgery themselves, we are far from this place. But despite all this, we will still be in operating room and surgery.

Dina Honey, a resident of New York University (NYU), said that she is a graduate from Ziauddin University and now a resident of the fourth year of surgery in NYU.

He said that the experience of working with the surgical team in Karachi is very welcome and there is a lot of potential in postgraduate.

He said that he tried his best to transfer training and technical skills received in New York here. According to him, some new techniques were introduced and it was happy to see that surgical equipment and technology are from international standards.

Later, Pakistan’s first and sole officially registered Society of Pakistan Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (PSMBS).

The ceremony was the Chairman of Sindh Chapter, Dr. Surinder was held under the supervision of Dawani. It was established in 2017 and now its chairman Prof. Shahid is Rasool, who is also the Executive Director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center.

Its purpose is to treat obesity like obesity in Pakistan on every platform.

Medical experts say that obesity can not only be controlled through bariatric surgery, but also many diseases associated with sugar blood pressure, cholesterol and knee pain.

Doctors reiterated that the society will play its active role not only in treatment but also in Pakistan to overcome the health crisis of obesity, not only in treatment but also awareness, and policy -making.
