A couple from Arkansas was killed during the hike with their two young girls in the State Park of Dev’s Den, investigators said. Police were looking for a suspect.
Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, was found dead on Saturday at the Washington County Park in an alleged homicide, the state of Arkansas announced. The police did not explain how the couple was killed or provided more details on the attack.
Their daughters, who are 7 and 9 years old, were not injured and are treated by family members.

The authorities described the suspect as a white man wearing dark pants, a dark ball, sunglasses and fingerless gloves that also had a black backpack. It is believed that he was wearing a long -sleeved shirt with the rolled sleeves instead of a dark tank top which was initially reported. It was seen led to a park out in a four -door sedan with a license plate partially covered with adhesive tape.
The car, maybe a Mazda, may have traveled on the State Highway 170 or State Highway 220 near the park in a rural wooded area with a limited mobile phone service, police announced.
Devil’s Den is located near West Fork, about 136 miles northwest of Little Rock. The 2,500 acres park is known for its hiking trails and rocky training courses, and is a short car trip from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and the head office of Bentonville de Walmart.
Investigators asked for potential witnesses to review their park photos and videos. There was no information on a possible reason.
Officials said the victims had recently moved to Prairie Grove, Arkansas, from another state. Hiland Dairy confirmed that Clinton Brink had been transferred from his parent company, Prairie Farms Dairy, of southern Dakota, and was to start his driver work delivering milk in the Fayetteville region on Monday.
Shea Lewis, secretary of the Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism of Arkansas, said that the Rangers had intensified patrols in Devil’s Den.
“Our hearts are with relatives of the victims during this incredibly difficult period,” Lewis said in a statement on Sunday. “The security of our visitors and our staff is our highest priority, and we are working closely with the police of the State of Arkansas and various officials of the application of laws while the investigation continues.”
When the Affilié de CBS, KFSM-TV, asked why it had to be approximately six hours between those responsible who received reports on deaths and the sending of a public statement, a spokesperson for the state police of the Arkansas said that the area where the alleged homicide had taken place.
“It took our special agents for a long time to arrive at the scene, locate witnesses, conduct interviews and collaborate information so that we have published the appropriate information,” said KFSM spokesperson.
The bodies of the victims were taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, where the way and the cause of the death will be determined.
FBI’s Little Rock Little Rock office communicates with Arkansas State police and is ready to help the investigation, FBI spokesman Jessica Franklin said in KFSM.
“We pray for the family and friends of the victims, and we know that the police will not rest until the attacker is translated into justice,” said the Governor of Arkansas, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, in a statement.
