The political scenario of the country is being seriously seen after resigning from his post as soon as the monsoon meeting begins. Although he has clearly described his poor health as the reason for this decision, the circles accepting this explanation are very limited. In fact, his move has given rise to many political and constitutional questions, and its distant influences in the government and opposition tents are under consideration. On July 21, Paddy Khar reported his resignation in a letter to the President of Darupadi Marmo Republic, which was immediately accepted. According to him, he is no longer able to continue working in this important constitutional position given the opinion of doctors and his personal health. Their situation can be respected, but in the context of the past, the step seems a bit unexpected. The songs participated in various events a few days ago, their movements were active, and there was no unusual problem or weakness on their face.
It is also worth noting that the examples of resignation from the post of Vice President in India’s political history are very few. BD Jati and R Venkat Raman were two personalities who resigned from the Vice President to participate in the presidential election. The issue of tune is different from them as they neither announced the President’s campaign nor pointed to a new political goal. In fact, when he resigned, it was the beginning of a very sensitive monsoon meeting of Parliament, where the government and the opposition were facing. He thought that this action was against the rules, as if the proposal was proposed in both houses, it should be first brought to the house in which it should be presented first. Observers say the dispute may be an important background of their resignation. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Malkarjan Kharga criticized the government on “Operation Sandor” on 18 July and was prepared for the next week’s debate. There is a possibility that the tune has taken an edge to avoid these political stresses and future possible controversies.
It is also worth noting that the nature of Jagdeep’s tune has always been aggressive. As the Governor of West Bengal, his relations with the state government remained tense. As the Vice President, he continued to express openly on topics like the judiciary, the Constitution and Sanatan Dharma. He often appeared to be talking with the opposition in a harsh voice and raised many questions about his presidency in the Rajya Sabha. In such a case, many constituencies were not satisfied by resigning only by mentioning health. For this reason, political pundits are calling this decision a more healthy strategy.
Jagdeep Dhan Khar was elected the vice -president in 2022 and his election was seen as an unpredictable but intelligent strategy by the BJP at that time. The songs belong to the Jat community and are known as a clean, straightforward and difficult personality. His resignation has also been a matter of debate in BJP’s internal constituencies. Did his statements or behavior deny the party line? Did his ideological tendency defame the party? These questions are still being answered.
After the resignation of Dhan Khar, the responsibility of presiding over the Rajya Sabha is currently entrusted to the Vice President Hari Destruction. He is an experienced member and hopefully he will run the house action in a balanced manner. But now the real question is, who will be the next face for the post of Vice President? However, keeping in mind the previous decisions of the BJP, it is also estimated that it will choose a person who has very little reputation, but is politically suitable. It is possible that a tribal, Dalit or minority background person can be selected for the post to get political balance and electoral benefits.
The way his tribal identity was liked at the time of the election of Draupadi Marmo, the representation of a particular class or region can now be based. Some observers believe that the BJP adopts a strategy that can give rise to many fronts at the political level and the Vice President will be selected in the same way. In such a case, it would be a challenge for the next vice -president to not only maintain constitutional neutrality, but also run the proceedings of the House with the confidence of all political parties. The sanctity of an institution like Parliament can only remain when its caretaker is loyal to the Constitution and the Constitution.
It would be said that Dhan Khar’s resignation was part of the BJP’s political strategy or the result of the real internal contradiction. However, it is certain that this decision has opened the doors of new possibilities for both the government and the opposition. It remains to be seen which personality and she occupies this dignified position as the new vice president.
