Monterey, California – The three people aboard a small twin plane that crashed into the Pacific Ocean off the central coast of California have perished, said law enforcement officials.
The Sheriff’s office in the county of Monterey confirmed late Sunday Sunday, that the three occupants of the plane who had dropped by about 300 meters (275 meters) of Pinos were dead. The officials did not say what led to the accident on Saturday.
Witnesses said he had heard a plane engine turning, then splashing in the water, KSBW-TV reported. Later, people on the shore reported having seen debris wash from the crushed plane.
