Islamabad:
Visa exemption facility for Pakistani diplomat and government passport holders has been activated in the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement released on the social networking site X, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that on June 24, 2025, in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan agreed to a bilateral diplomat and official passport holder.
He said, “Both of us signed a memorandum to enable these measures and the signed memory would be effective after 30 days of the day,” he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that UAE officials have activated visa discounts to enter the UAE with Pakistani diplomat and government passports, which has been implemented on all passports in the United Arab Emirates since July 25, 2025.
Ishaq Dar said that the visa would also apply to all the airports in Pakistan for the UAE citizens.
