Multan, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th July, 2025) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) intended to operate against inferior food units in South Punjab and left 230 milk mixed milk and 55 kg expired fruits.
Acting at the direction of the director’s lineage Muhammad Asim Javed, food safety teams inspected in Multan, Khanal, and Vahari, targeted bakers, sweet shops, milk vendors, water plants and restaurants.
The teams put heavy wings and sealed two production units for food safety standards. A water filtration plant at Shoozhabad Road, Multan was sealed after a failed laboratory test in its sample. In Khanwal, a bakery located in Bhuta Chowk was closed due to pressure from a washroom inside
And Rs. 50,000 each fine was imposed on 17 kasi, a beverage plant in Multan and a cold store (rotten fruit).
A bakery near Al-Fala Bazaar, Multan, was fined Rs45,000 for using expired spikes and unknown ingredients; Rs 25,000 at a milk shop in octroi number 9, Multan to sell low quality milk; To use monosodium glutamate (sugar salt) and poor hygiene conditions, Rs 45,000 in a restaurant in Maina Mor, Burewala;
Rs 15,000 at an ice factory in Adda Loddan for the press of information in the production area and contaminated ice blocks.
Similarly, each for Rs 12,000 was set up at a grocery store in Bureaula’s Sabzi Mandi, to sell expired consumers to sell expired tea leaves and a food outlet in Melsey.
