Multan, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July 2025) Multan region’s Crime Control Department (CCD) excluded three separate armed encounters in Khanwal, Wireri and Multan, and on Saturday arrested many suspects involved in serious criminal activities.
In Khaniawal, the CCD team was patrolling the Eastern Bypass when they reached a tip-off through emergency helpline 15 that the fur armed person was robbing passengers near 28 MOR. As soon as the CCD team approached the location, the suspects set fire to the police vehicle. CCD officials retaliated into self-defense, and during the exchange of fire, two suspects were injured and stopped. The arched suspects were identified as Muhammad Hamza and Habib Hasan, both residents of Chak 21/8R, Tulaba. There were several cases of accounts, suspected robbery, vehicle theft and other serious crimes for the authorities.
Meanwhile, in Viary, the CCD team was operating a regular patrolling, when they were planning a robbery, hiding three armed suspects near an erstwhile area. After seeing the police, the suspects set fire to the CCD personnel to bring back the fire. A suspect, later identified as Waris Ali of Chak WB/21, was injured and taken into custody, while the other two managed to escape towards DHQ Hospit.
Officials said the arrested suspect wanted in several cases of robbery and theft. 30-Kharid pistols were recovered from his possession.
In Multan, CCD rapidly responded to an emergency call by a cotiness named Abu Bakr, which reports that five armed persons stole two cows, a calf and a buffalo from the bungalow Wali near Moja Lalipur and were running towards the southern bypass. Acting on the information, the CCD made a blockade near the Sohni Dharti Bridge. When the vehicle of the suspects appeared, the police indicated to stop him. However, the suspects took out the vehicle and set the CCD team on fire.
In the exchange of fire, two suspects were severely entered and died on the spot. He was identified as Khadim Hussain, a resident of Todarpur, Shuzabad, and Muhammad Riyaz, who was a resident of Phalla Wala, Moja Chadhar, Multan. Two 30-Kharid pistols were repeated from the scene. The suspects for police records were included in the spokesperson of the CCD source that the department is committed to the protection of the life and properness of the citizens and will continue to operate against criminal elements in the Multan region.
