NY Giants’ wide receivers open to the impact of Russell Wilson

Last season, the nucleus of the wide receiver of the New York Giants did not have much consistency with regard to the quarter position. After an occupied offseason, the front office made sure that this was not the case in 2025. While the training camp begins, several players opened on the impact of the most notable acquisition of the team.

After a year -long passage with the Pittsburgh steelers, Russell Wilson found himself in search of a new house in a free agency. Despite the trade towards the first round of the Nfl Brail to take a QB, they still decided to sign the veteran. Wilson should serve as a stopgap this season before Jaxson Dart took the reins.

As a former superb winner, Wilson brings an essential experience to a team of young giants. His presence already leaves a mark in the team, because the guys congratulated him at the start of the camp. Earlier this week, Darius Slayton explained how different the attack on New York is with Wilson leading the accusation.

“Probably just a certain clarity. He has been playing football for a long time,” said Slayton about Wilson. “He therefore knows what worked for him in his career. What he likes, does not like. It makes you really simple for us to be able to be on the same wavelength as him.”

Another person to talk about Wilson is the Large Receiver colleague Malik Nabers. He praised the increased level of leadership that the QB veteran brought to the giants.

“He’s a big leader,” said Nabers. “He is one of those quarters that advances everyone. We needed that in the group today, in a way, he started slowly. With Russ, leadership, we picked up things at the end.”

It goes without saying how important it is that the giant receptors get along with Wilson. Nabers aims to be a focal point of the offense after a high recruit season, and Slayton seeks to bounce back a year of decline in 2024. Seeing that they are already clinging with Wilson, the offensive from New York should be a much more coherent unit this season.

After a season when several players started at QB, the giants were looking for stability in the center when they signed Wilson. Based on these recent comments, the decision to bring it into it seems to cause early dividends.
