Beijing, (App – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2025) Pakistan’s sesame seed exports made Kadir, trade and investment consultant to the Embassy of Pakistan for business and investment consultant at Pakistan’s Embassy.
Ghulam Qadir highlighted that from January 2025, Pakistan exported 46,029,511 kg of sesame seeds to China, producing $ 57.44 million in revenue. It makes sufficient jump from the same period in 2024, when experts priced a total of 8,608,260 kg $ 14.39 million.
The remarkable girl is attributed to both a significant increase in the amount of export and a competitive pricing strategy. While the average price per kg in H1 2024 was $ 1.67, it fell to $ 1.24 in H1 2025, making Pakistani sesame more attractive in the Chinese market.
Ghulam Qadir said, “This exceptional growth outlines successful efforts to increase market access and strong demand for quality Pakistani agricultural products in China.”

Given this period, Pakistan was ranked as the fourth largest sesame supplier for China. Top suppliers were: Niger: 348,175,624 kg priced $ 471.53 million (AVG: $ 1.35/kg); Togo: 113,331,626 kg priced $ 166.92 million (AVG: $ 1.47/kg); Ethiopia: 64,989,410 kg priced $ 106.72 million (AVG: $ 1.64/kg); Pakistan: 46,029,511 kg priced $ 57.44 million (AVG: $ 1.24/kg).
Exporters told CEN that Pakistan is not average per kilogram of average price, it played an important role in increasing the increased market share compared to the Afghan contestants. They do not even do that more Pakistani farmers are now cultivating sesame, which shows the increased confidence and opportunity in the region.
Surgery is a positive result of the enhanced trade facility and further strengthens Pakistan’s position in China’s diverse sesame import market.
