San Diego Padres desperately need to add a left -back player to the deadline for trade. The external field of the padres was well due to the production of Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jackson Merrill, but the left field was a rotating production door below the average.

Tim Kelly de Bleacher Report recently suggested that the paadres could swing a business with the White Sox of Chicago to acquire Luis Robert Jr. in a “New start” potential deal.

“On the surface, there is not a ton to love in what Luis Robert Jr. is as a player at the moment. He has a long history of injury and has only reached .216 with a .648 OPS since the start of the 2024 season,” wrote Kelly. “What is interesting, however, is that Gavin Sheets relaunched his career in San Diego this season with 14 circuits and 51 points produced after being not tense by the White Sox Herseason.

“The president of San Diego of baseball operations, AJ Preller, could he be forced to return to the well with a player formerly federated by White Sox? Frankly, there is not much risks. If you exchange for Robert and that he stinks and / or is injured, as much as that.

Robert had a bad season, but he had the unlucky of the dish with an average in the stick of .268 in career on the balls at stake. He is a leading candidate “change of decor”. Add Robert to a new team with a new coaching staff and a new start could do wonders to change their career.

Robert has barely led 38 circuits in a campaign for a few years ago. It cannot be more than one or two back -in -fitness adjustments.

To improve things for San Diego, it is unlikely that it costs a lot on the commercial block. The outflow is also a very good defender, so its floor remains higher than most.
