European Union Ambassador Raina Konka met Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s house this morning.
Congratulations to the European Union Ambassador to the success of his tenure in Pakistan, the Prime Minister thanked him for his role in strengthening the relationship between Pakistan and the European Union.
He praised the ambassador’s efforts to ensure the help of the European Union during the 2022 floods in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the European Union as one of Pakistan’s largest trading partners and confirmed the government’s commitment to the GSP Plus scheme, which proved to be mutually beneficial for both sides.
The Prime Minister also expressed his best wishes for the European Union Commission Chairman Arsala Van Dare Line and said that he was waiting to meet him in the coming days.
Important issues including domestic political progress between Pakistan and the European Union were also discussed in the meeting.
The European Union Ambassador thanked the Prime Minister for his cooperation during his stay in Pakistan and said that the European Union is committed to strengthening its cooperation with Pakistan.
Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister’s best wishes, he said that he would continue to promote strong relations between Pakistan and the European Union in his next assignment in Brussels.
