Islamabad:
Members of the Senate meeting said that the order against the hearing of the Standing Committee from the courts is equivalent to interfering in the proceedings of the Upper House.
The Senate meeting was chaired by the panel of Chairman Irfan Siddiqui, in which Senator Saifullah Abuo said that the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is making a mistake, taking action against them. If bank statement is removed, big ministers are involved in many cases.
Federal Minister Riyaz Hussain Pirzada replied for Housing and Works that FGEHA projects have been delayed for so many years. Presiding officer Shahdat Avan has sent the matter to the concerned committee.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Salim Mandivula said in the Senate, “There were orders of Islamabad High Courts against the hearing of the Senate Standing Committee.” This is equivalent to intervening with Senate action.
He said that the House never intervened in the court proceedings, although the law does not prohibit. The Attorney General should be called and they should be instructed right now. In cases, there is no case in which no case is pending.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said that the Attorney General should be called on the matter. The minister will put the matter before the law.
Senator Zameer Ghurro said that according to the law, the court cannot interfere in the proceedings of Parliament. It is against the distribution of powers.
Senator Saifullah Abro said that the Attorney General should call him today. Attorney Generals respond to government senators. Call the federal law minister and ask them what is happening.
Senator Kamran Murtaza said on the occasion that the House should be disliked on the matter. The Attorney General should be disappointed with an inhibitor. In Balochistan, lawyers are now being raised. Whether it is from a lawyer or MPs, they should not be raised. If there is a case against them, submit it to the courts.
Oath
At the Senate meeting, the newly elected member Rubina Naz was sworn in, from which Irfan Siddiqui was sworn in. Rubina Naz has been elected as a member of the Upper House from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Similarly, presiding officer Shahdat Avan was sworn in with Senator Hafiz Abdul Karim. The newly elected senator belongs to PML -N.
Remember that 10 out of 11 newly elected members have taken oath of membership of the Upper House.
Stop questioning
During interim questions in the Senate session, Syed Masur Ahsan said that the Islamabad High Court issued an order in 2022, despite that the G14/1 sector allocators were not occupied in 8 months. 3 years passed and plots were not seized.
Federal Minister Riyaz Pirzada said for Housing and Works, “Our system is such that it is also responsible for the Public Accounts Committee, which has slept in graves.” The court’s decision came to us some time ago.
Humayun Mohammand said, “We have a drain here, which causes accidents.” There are tragic incidents in DHA Five and Sedpur here.
Riyaz Pirzada replied that this situation is a question mark. We are political people. We have no plans here. Based on dislikes, projects are delayed. The project, which is not part of the minister or others, is delayed. There is no one to ask anyone here. Thousands of houses were constructed in a project and water is not available there. The showcase notice was not issued to those responsible people. The allocation of plots will be progressed soon.
Israel’s resolve condemns
During the meeting, Senator Pulosha Khan and Senator Qara -Ul -Murri condemned the resolution of the West Bank occupation in the Israeli Parliament. The proposal against the resolution of the Israeli Parliament was submitted to the House, stating that the people of Pakistan and the children of Pakistan condemn the nominations of Israel’s Israma.
The text of resolution states that the house fully supports the Palestinian people. Later, the Senate unanimously approved the proposal.
Tariff Reform Policy
During the hearing, Senator Zeeshan Khanzada said that the government had planned a tariff reform policy. The decision made under the policy did not eliminate customs duty. If the scheme is not being implemented then why is there a plan to bring the government? Export to benefit from this is just a dream. The domination of the law is not allowed to talk, you can talk about finance, commerce and business.
