Ombdsman office resolution 6700 out of 9000 complaints: Sohail Rajput

Provincial Lokpal Sindh, Mohammad Sohail Rajput had on Thursday excluded only 9000 complaints from Syed due to lack of awareness from 55.5 million population of the province, while 6700 have been resolved in cases.

Karachi, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th July, 2025) Provincial Lokpal Sindh, Mohammad Sohail Rajput said on Thursday that only 9000 complexes were registered for the provision of 55.5 million population due to lack of awareness, which has been solved by 6700 cases.

Addressing an awareness seminar, “the role of Provincial Lokpal Sindh in public grievance redress” Rajput said that there was a lack of awareness and trust in institutions by people.

The seminar was jointly organized by the Climate and Disaster Prevention Unit, Provincial Lokpal Sindh, and Pakistan Red Crisant Society (PRCs) Sindh.

Sohail Rajput said that effects are being made to raise awareness through media, social media, seminars and public hearing. “We have also set a three -month resolution time frame for complaints and sent that the complainants have not been designed to post unnecessarily from the pillar,” he said.

Sohail Rajput announced that an MoU would be signed with PRCS Sindh.

Speaking on the issue of climate change, he said that areas like KP and Punjab are currently ending, which in 2020, Karachi saw 287 mm of rain in sex hours due to cloudburst.

Rajput emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to add climate and disaster challenges and welcomed other institutions to join hands.

Highlighting the previous efforts, he said that more than 500 unresolved land and housing project complaints pending for five years were taken with the Chief Minister of Sindh, who forms a four -member cabinet committee to propose a solution within three months.

He also said that Ombdsman’s office takes Suu Motu notice in public interest and the interior is working to digitize the complaint system, a bilingual (Urdu and Sindh) website and app are also being launched soon.

Chairman PRCs Sindh, Rehan Hashmi reiterated the PRCS readline to serve During Dishes. He corrected the Lokpal’s office to address public grievances against the government efficiently and emphasized that the purpose of the joint seminar is to raise public awareness how citizens can take action against the government’s misconduct through proper channels.
