After many years, Karachi Electric (K Electric) has started paying the arrears of the Sindh government and deposited the money.
According to the details, K -Electric has started paying the arrears of the Sindh government after many years and deposited more than 5 billion in 2 installments. Among the parties of more than 32 billion rupees, Electric agreed to pay Rs 9.142 billion and also issued a schedule of payment.
According to the schedule, by September 2025, the Sindh government will be paid 4.258 billion rupees, while Ki Electric will also be forced to pay accumulated electric duty every month.
According to the agreement, electricity duty received from consumers in electricity bills will now be paid to Sindh government in installments.
Meanwhile, the issue of liabilities of 25 billion rupees between electric and water boards is still demanding.
