Police are looking for a man considered armed and dangerous after two police officers were killed as they answered a domestic assault call in an apartment in Virginia where a woman was found with ball injuries, authorities announced.
The woman was taken to a neighboring hospital where she died of injuries, police said.
Shaun M. Boker, 39, is wanted to interrogate the fire, the police said.
Police from the Chesapeake police service responded to a domestic assault report on 10:30 p.m. in an apartment in the 500 Willow Bridge Court on Wednesday, according to a statement from the ministry.
“Upon their arrival, the police heard a woman inside the residence to help,” said the police. “While the police tried to violate the front door to provide help, an unknown suspect began to shoot them through the interior of the apartment. Two officers were struck by gunshots.”
The wounds that the two police officers have suffered on the scene would not put life in life and they were transported to the hospital to be treated.
The authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the woman, but said that Boker was considered armed and dangerous.
