More than 95 professional beggars have been arranged by Rawalpindi Police Dungar, as Rawalpindi, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th July 2025).
For a police spokesperson on Thursday, the crackedown was started on the instructions of the city police officer Syed Khalid Hamdani to free the city from Nawaz.
The spokesman said that special squads were formed to take action against professional beggars.
He said that action against professional beggars was all important as most of them were involved in theft, drug trafficking and other crimes.
He said that the police was maintaining strict surveillance to prevent business roads and highways from begging.
