Swapping favorite reads is my favorite form of social currency. I ate some really special books this year and realized that after reading the last page it was the right time to compile the list of people living in my mind for a long time. My criteria are spread beyond just liking the book to make a read-based share-worthy. Many of these authors made me feel uncomfortable and rebel, and it is that I like it – but not to say that I do not enjoy a migrant book.
Today I am sharing a small and incomplete list of books that I cannot stop talking about this year.
There are seven of the best books read here in 2024.
1. Perfectionist’s guide to louzing control By Catherine Morgan Chefler
Have you ever heard of “messy perfection”? Catherine Morgan Chefler Perfectionist’s guide to louzing control The deep resonates with me as it engages in the origin and complications of perfection, offering the 360-degree perspective in many ways that it manifests itself. I found the insight of Skafler and refreshing individual anecdotes. She suggests that we have left the label “Recovery Perfectionist” (a one I have subscribed) and see perfection instead as a superpower, rather than that we should be exploited for good instead of catching back.
I read this book twice this year this year and planned to take it again on a holiday break.
2. bittersweet By Susan Cain
In bittersweet, Susan Cain examined the concept of bitwatchness and embracing both positive and negative emotions can fulfill a rich and more life. Through beautiful individual stories and research, Can argues that Biturtness is an essential part of human experience and it can help us appreciate the beauty and delicateness of life.
This book touched some parts of myself, which I had long strange, sensitive and shut down something that I should never express publicly. Still they are very core who I am. Susan can remains a champion for sensitive, quiet, deep thinkers.
3. Recession By Rachel Schwartzman
Recession A slow, more intentional is a guide to live life. It provides practical strategy to reduce stress, increase mindfulness and find more enjoyment in the present time. This book is conducted around the slow learning process, which I found incredibly helpful. We cannot walk before walking, and slowing into adulthood is definitely a learned skill.
4. Time Ministry By kaliane bradley
A time-journey love story meets the workplace comedy with twist and twist of a detective thriller. This book defines styles and pleases me with my whip-smart prose and deeply human characters.
5. All fours Miranda by July
Everyone has an opinion about this book. I like it like I do a flawed but well -intended friend. I admire the creative options of July in all his works. Her desire to quit things made her the right artist to crash in public domains immorally messed up and self-service, shouting about the resentment of being a woman of a certain age. The post-screwbering center is about to take and be seen. There is something about the feeling of wildness that catchs exactly the awakening that I have just started to experience, and I know that I am not alone.
It is interesting to hear what people under the age of forty years think about the book. They are often wide -eyed, nervous, and get away from its barbaric and dirty nature. For them, I say, when you are ready, you will get it.
6. Creative act By Rick Rubin
This book is necessary for anyone to take their creative manifestations seriously. Find a reason for chasing that serpent urge to turn to any page and make something meaningful to the secret of intuition.
7. You can make this place beautiful By Maggi Smith
Like many of you, the poem making Maggi Smith famous came at an exact time, I needed it most. This is the story of what happened to her marriage and career later.
