7 Herbal remedies in the backyard of the harvesting of yourself

While some people are busy with the presence of the perfect grass, I learned to embrace the backyard “weeds”. Many plants we spend in fighting and spraying have some impressive health benefits. Below are some common rear pattern plants and how to use it for both food and medicine.

You may only find that the time, money and effort needed for treated grass may not deserve all this effort!

I learned from local and wild garden professionals about useful herbs that grow in my backyard. Many of these things grow on a large scale in the yard around the United States, so take a look and see what you can discover.

Wild transportation tips

Before starting harvesting herbs from the courtyard (or anywhere), there are some things that must be taken into account.

  • Two -thirds – Just harvest? Or less than the plant so that it can continue to grow. If the factory runs on the yard, it may be good to harvest the entire plant. For example, uproot dandelion and use the root. Just make sure not to take more than one? Of the total plants if you want to maintain the health of the population.

Important note: Check with your healthcare professional before consuming any medical herb. However, many of these plants can be used as food or topically.

Here are some of the posterior patio plants that you have learned over the years!

1. Banana

There are possibilities, I have seen this herb before and you may consider it weeds. This useful plant (it should not be confused with banana -like banana) is its home in many areas. You will find it often growing in integrated areas, such as tracks and corridors.

In bananas there are many health benefits for a wide range of systems in the body. Fresh and scattered leaves work greatly on bites, cutting, skin irritation, and paintings to calm the skin. It is taken internally, banana helps move mucus stuck from the respiratory system to enhance breathing clearer. Use banana tea as a mouth washing to calm the irritated or damaged oral tissue.

Leaves, seeds and even roots are widely beneficial. The seeds and the ground can be dried to create a syllaium fiber, a natural laxative. The roots are used to help the bone bone healing faster. How to use banana leaves:

  • Fresh small leaves can be used as a green salad
  • Use fresh leaves as a state of insect bites, plastics or burns
  • Chewing or crushing fresh banana paper and applied to the train
  • Bananas are natural antihistamines and can help with hay fever
  • Banana dried paper is excellent in healing rocks for its soothing benefits

2. Dandelion

The curse of garden lovers everywhere, dandelion is actually a very useful plant. I am sure that you saw dandelions and maybe you have in your annihilation. The entire plant can be used and each part (root, leaves, stems and flowers) contains different benefits.

Dandelion makes a great bitter salad when they are small. Tea is a diuretic, but unlike the prescribed diuretics, it does not exhaust potassium. Instead, it is a rich source of vitamins and minerals, including calcium, potassium and iron. Leaf Dandelion helps the kidneys support and also helps in issues such as gout and arthritis. In addition, it contains nutrients that better enhance eye health.

Dandelion root is rich in potassium and calcium and makes delicious earthy tea that some use as a substitute for coffee. In almost all the herbal healing traditions, dandelion was used for a variety of liver and gallbladder problems. You can even rub the legs of the warts to get rid of it (avoid if you have a latex sensitivity).

How to use dandelion papers

Although you can buy dandelion root and pre -prepaid leaves, it is from a simple herb to harvest yourself. These are some of my favorite uses:

  • Dandelion leaf in tea to eat nourishing herbia tea
  • Use in poultice externally to irritate the skin
  • Flower bread and fry the pan to treat nutrients
  • Fry the leaves in olive oil for a nutrient treatment
  • Add chopped dandelions to the soup for additional nutrients
  • Root root dandelion tea instead of coffee
  • Dandelion flowers in iced lime tea

3. Red clover

This tends to grow more in the spring and early summer, but the red clover is another beneficial herb in many places. It is often recommended by hormonal imbalance, menopause and menstruation. Red Clover has Isoflavones (Phytoestrogens) that helps to balance estrogen levels.

This herb is also rich in nutrients and offers a great addition to tea thanks to moderate sweetness. As a variable herb, it also helps in skin complaints when using it externally and internally. Herbs are used for eczema, psoriasis, and to help remove toxins from the liver and lymphatic system. It is also known to enhance blood circulation and serve as blood purification.

How to use red clover

These are just some of the many uses of red alfalfa! It includes some of the most common uses:

  • In tea and dyes for nutrition and herbal balance
  • Externally as a poultice or a skin irritation dye, including eczema
  • In tea for continuous cough or colds
  • To help normalize hormones during menstruation or menopause.

Reserves: Since red clover can affect hormones, it is important to check a healthcare professional before using this or any similar herb. It is not yet known if it is safe (or not) during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Red clover can also interfere with artificial medications and blood relief.

4. PURLANE

Purslane passes through many names (Pursley, Duckweed, FATWEED) and grows almost everywhere. It is a common juice in the squares and gardens and even the pillow cracks, but it lost its popularity in the kitchen.

With tissue crunchy and slight citrus taste, Purlane is very delicious in omega -3 fatty acids, vitamins A, B, C and antioxidants. PURLANE is an anti -inflammatory and makes high nutrition content and vitamin C content a useful ally of the disease. Like aloe, fresh juice or broken plant is useful to calm skin irritation and sunburn.

How to use Purlane

There are many ways to use Perlane, but these are some of my favorite things:

  • Fresh in the authorities
  • Fry with oil for nutrients rich in vegetables
  • As an alternative to spinach in recipes
  • With garlic and pine for high -quality Besto

Reserves: Be sure to harvest PURLANE and not Spurge (which looks similar but has a SAP Milky Way). Also, Purlane contains oxalic acid, which does not tolerate some people well, especially in high quantities.

5. Charlie crawl or ivy earth

It is also called glechoma Hederacea technically, these weeds grow in many places and can be seized as soon as growth begins. Although it is in the mint family, it does not smell or taste. Before the jumps became common in breastfeeding, Ground IVY was commonly used in beer.

How to use Charlie’s crawl

Ground IVY has been a famous herbal remedy for thousands of years and has been used by cultures all over the world. Recently, it has been used for the issues of the upper respiratory system, support for the bladder and kidneys, and to get rid of the digestive disorder and menstrual issues. Ground ivy can also be used topically to calm skin diseases.

I often use it as a headache and colds.

Precautions: The earthly ivy can cause miscarriage, so do not use it if you are pregnant or try to get pregnant.

6. Lamb quarters

I pulled these “weeds” for several months when I found them in our courtyard before I realized that they are edible and very useful!

You can use Lamb’s Beans papers like spinach in fresh dishes or cooking. It is also easier to grow and many people find taste. Lamb quarters are naturally high in vitamin A, B, C, K, calcium and magnesium. In fact, Lamb places are one of the most dietary foods, and only the second to Amaranth.

The seeds are found in flour for baked goods, made in porridge, or used in fermented drinks.

A quarter of Lamb has a toxic appearance both called Nettleef Goosefoot that should never be consumed. There is a specific difference in their appearance, and it has Nettleaf Goosefoot has a terrible smell, but it is important not to confuse the two. Like spinach and many other vegetables, luxurious places are high in oxalic acid and should be consumed in moderation, especially by the conditions that are aggravated by oxalic acid. Cooking reduces a lot of it and makes this vegetable and others safe to eat.

7. Dirt pills

If you have nettle growth in your yard, you may know that. They tend to leave an uncomfortable rash and itch if touched by bare hands. Fortunately, the small acid needles that cause the sting low or boil. You can even make nettle chips from leaves (similar to turnip chips).

Add the pills to pregnancy tea because it is high in vitamins and minerals. You will find vitamins A, B, C, E, K, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, silica, iron and zinc. Since it is very high in nutrients, the nettles are great for building blood and supporting comprehensive vitality. The nettles are useful in several other ways as well.

Points are a strong natural anti -inflammatory, so it is great for itching, sneezing and liquid eyes. It helps calm the histamine response in the body that comes with allergies. There has also been a lot of research on the role of Nettles in helping metabolic disorders. The nettles can help reduce blood sugar levels and blood fat levels and normalize blood pressure.

The pistol sheet is also large for thick, shiny and healthy hair and I will use it as a hair rinse or in the hair growth serum. The root helps in prostate problems, and nettle seeds have a positive effect on the damaged kidneys.

The gentle pills may be more perceived by its stinging properties. If you want to avoid irritation, be sure to wear gloves at the harvest. However … bite pills are really really good for you too!

The paper contains formic acid, which is an anti -inflammatory that can help in nerve pain and infections. People will use it to relieve neuropathy, nerve pain, arthritis, tendon inflammation, and other uncomfortable inflammatory issues.

Final ideas on backyard herbs

There are many different plants everywhere around us, we just have to take a moment and note. Contact with some tanned grass in your area, get a good field guide, and start exploring!
