Narciso Barranco, an undocumented landscaper in the County of Orange, instilled a feeling of pride for his country adopted in his three sons of American origin.
The three boys joined the Marines, which they considered a solid departure for a better life in the United States.
Then, in June, Barranco was seized by federal agents masked in immigration while working on work.
His arrest has become viral on social networks, with some images of the images of agents defeating Barranco. During the last month, his family traveled the federal immigration system under the Trump administration. Narciso, 48, was born in Morelos, Mexico, and arrived in the United States over 30 years ago, where he married an American citizen and had three sons.
A few hours after his arrest, his eldest son spoke to journalists and pushed for his release. The service of sons in the American army has kept the media focused on its case, and thanks to a variety of interviews that his eldest son provided, the case remained in the news cycle.
Narciso Barranco was finally released on bail after spending 24 days in detention, but he still faced an uncertain future.
The best defender in Narciso, as his case, is his 25 -year -old son, Alejandro Barranco, a marine veteran who served as an engineering equipment mechanic and was deployed in Afghanistan during the country’s American withdrawal.
The Junior Barranco has done his best to save his father’s livelihoods since the arrest. He took the work of his father as a landscaper and suspended his own work. He waited outside the federal detention establishments – first in Los Angeles and then in Adelanto – just to see his father or to attend the hearings of the Immigration Court.
“It is certainly an irritating process, to see how badly they treat people who try to access their families in these places,” said Alejandro Barranco. “It’s not professional, or they do it all wrong to treat people with this type of lack of respect.”
Alejandro served in the Marines from 2019 to 2023. He was honorably released and is now a landscaper like his father and works to become an approved entrepreneur.

The young brothers of Alejandro, Emanuel and José Luis, serve in the Navies and stationed at Camp Pendleton.
They cannot speak to the media of their father’s treatment, so Alejandro Barranco has become the family spokesperson. Although they remained silent throughout Calvary, they attended the hearings of the court of their father and provided their support in private.
It was a source of pride for the Barranco family that the three sons joined the army, said Alejandro Barranco. His parents raised her as well as his brothers to be educated and be as useful as possible in their country.
“This is how they raised us and it was something that my family was proud of,” said Alejandro Barranco.
The agents caught Narciso Barranco on June 21 outside a Santa Ana Ihop while he was in charge of the grass with a tan of weeds. He wore sunglasses and a baseball cap, ignoring that the agents came for him.
The video published by immigration officials has shown that agents are pulling and beating Barranco before transporting it to a federal detention center overcrowded to 80 miles in the county of San Bernardino.
Narcisco Barranco was released by an immigration judge on bail on July 15.
His family is delighted to have her at home but still worries about Barranco’s health, not knowing if he has received a concussion of his arrest which went unnoticed when he was in federal detention.

“He has a lot of headache and shoulder pain,” said Alejandro Barranco about the state of his father after being released from the Adelanto detention center.
This was a shocking event, in particular with the way in which the federal government said that Narciso Barranco had attacked the immigration agents who arrested him and hit him several times while he was on the ground. Alejandro Barranco said that his father was surprised to hear this detail, but he was not accused of having attacked federal officials.
He read his father the messages of support published on the social networks he received from foreigners and tried to reassure his father that people watch his case.
“I continue to read the names of the people who support him online, how people talk about his situation,” said Alejandro Barranco. His father is surprised but always has trouble dealing with what happened.
His father was injured during his arrest, according to Alejandro. But a few days later, the only thing the father wanted to know was how his truck and his landscaping equipment were recorded. He asked his son to resume his work, said Alejandro
The fact that three of his sons serve or served the US government has not dissuaded Narcisco Barranco to want to become a citizen.
“I make sure that the story of my father is told and I also assure myself that people know which hard worker he is,” said Alejandro Barranco.
“It is disappointing that my parents worked so hard to raise us and that their three boys who were ready to make the ultimate sacrifice for this country are now going through all of this. Being removed like that. It is rather sad that it happened to that,” he added.
We do not know why masked federal agents distinguished Barranco
The Department of Internal Security shared video on social networks and said that Barranco had attacked the agent with his gardening tool. The video of the attack shows that Barranco holds its striker from weeds while a masked federal agent draws him peppery gas.
“The agents have taken the appropriate measures and followed their training to use the minimum force necessary to resolve the situation in a way that favors the security of the public and our officers.
Ramirez, the lawyer for Barranco, described the arrest tactics of the federal government “arbitrary, concern and include racial profiling and goes beyond racial profiling”.
Barranco was briefly held in a detention center in Los Angeles, then transported to the Adelanto ice cream processing center in San Bernardino County. The establishment is supervised by Customs and Enforcement and Geo Group immigration, a private company from Private Florida.
The installation experienced a massive increase In detainees since the Trump administration began its indigenous arrests in southern California.
The establishment organized around 300 people towards the end of April and now holds around 1,600 people, according to the Inland coalition for immigrant justice.
Barranco said the conditions in Adelanto were lower, according to Ramirez.
The federal inspectors who visited the establishment last month declared inadequate medical care and not enough guards to operate the establishment. Some people wore the same clothes for 10 consecutive days due to a lack of essentials in the establishment.
Barranco refused to speak to the media after his release from Adelanto. He asked for the parole in place, which allows certain undocumented immigrants to stay in the country while waiting for a change in immigration status. The federal government seeks to withdraw it from the country, said Ramirez, and due to the in progress removal, it is not legally able to work, according to Ramirez.
“It is very impatient to go back to work and return to contribute to his house”, but he is not legally authorized to work while waiting for his request for parole.
Barranco is now trying to learn English through online lessons, said Alejandro Barranco. His father is humiliated by the demonstration of support that his family showed him online.
But the whole experience has also changed it, said Alejandro Barranco.
“He seems frightened. He is confused and I think he is just overwhelmed by everything we tell him,” said Alejandro Barranco. “It is a kind and kind person who is still there to help. He inspires a lot of people. His close friends were devastated. It’s just a nice person.”
