Twenty-eight candidates include political heavyweight and four women on Friday filed their nomination papers with the Returning Officer to contest a by-election in the NA-175 constituency here.

Muzaffargarh, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News -25th July, 2025) Twenty -Aouta candidates include political heavyweight and four women who have been filed for nomination papers, which are included in the pre -convention sector in the NA -175 constituency.

NA-175 seats were left vacant after disqualification of MNA Jamshed Dastati due to fake educational certificates and Election Commissions.

Among the major consodies are former Minister of State Mehar Irshad Ahmed Sial, East-MPA Ghulam Qasim Hanjra. Former MPs Hammad Nawaz Tipu and Mian Alamdar Abbas Qureshi have also joined the field, indicating an intention competition.

In the competition, former MPA Abdul Hayi Dasti and former president Municipal Committee Akram Khan Chandia have also filed their papers.

Nazia Dasti, wife of unqualified politician Jamshed Dasti, has also entered the race by presenting her nomination as an independent candidate.

Her entry is seen as an attempt to maintain her husband’s political legacy in the region.

The final list of candidates is expected to be released on Saturday, 26 July after the preliminary investigation process by the election officials.
