132 professional beggars booked during Kracdown

Rawalpindi, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th July 2025) The Rawalpindi Police has reduced its rift and detained 132 professional beggars in the last 14 days. For police, special squads have been deployed to arrest professional beggars working with markets, intersections and major roads and highways.

Police said many professional beggars are associated with criminal activities, including theft and drug trafficking. City police officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani said that road surveillance is being maintained, especially in high-colonials, to ensure and ensure published security.

He said that this campaign is in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and the operations will continue in the entire city. The police have urged the public to cooperate to support citizens to support the legal welfare initiative to give money to the street beggars.
